Rob W. Spears

Chief Executive Officer

As the Chief Executive Officer of Cabrio Properties, Mr Spears is responsible for the overall operation of the company.  Mr. Spears has been dedicated to the profession of real estate management since starting with Amvest Properties in 1993 following a degree of Bachelors of Business Administration from Iowa State University. Mr. Spears served as the Chief Financial Officer of Amvest Properties for over 12 years and was responsible for both the financial management and the day to day operations of the company.

In 2007 he co-founded Cabrio Properties in order to establish a company that sets a higher standard of quality. Mr. Spears is responsible for the accounting, asset management and owner advisory services for Cabrio Properties. Mr. Spears has structured over 20 commercial property acquisitions and developments totaling more than 750,000 SF and over $100 million in property value. Mr. Spears has a proven track record of creating and preserving property value through all market conditions.

Mr. Spears currently resides in Britton, MI with his wife, Michelle and their two young children, Elizabeth and Derek. He is an accomplished golfer and enjoys competing in both State and National level amateur golf events.

 

Jason W. Costello

President

Mr. Costello co-founded Cabrio Properties with an established core of experience in commercial real estate brokerage and management. Mr. Costello started his career with Oxford Commercial in Ann Arbor as a leasing and sales agent. In 2004 Oxford Commercial merged with the local Grubb & Ellis office to form Bluestone Realty Advisors. At Bluestone, Mr. Costello was an agent for a listing portfolio of over 2 million square feet. In 2005 Mr. Costello joined Amvest Properties in Ann Arbor as an Asset Manager and was responsible for the management of a portfolio of over 500,000 square feet of investment real estate.

As President of Cabrio Properties, Mr. Costello is responsible for the growth and direction of the company. He sources new leases for the Cabrio portfolio and interfaces with brokers and agents of the real estate community. Mr. Costello is also responsible for tenant relationships and services.

In 2007 Mr. Costello co-founded The Cabrio Group of companies and the Cabrio brand. The Cabrio Group is a diversified group of companies fully engaged in real estate and investment. Through The Cabrio Group, its affiliates and subsidiaries, the company provides property services, development and equity investment through private syndication.

Mr. Costello is active in the Ann Arbor community and is a board member of the Washtenaw Affordable Housing Corporation which operates 130 units of low income housing throughout Washtenaw County. He enjoys flying private aircraft as a licensed private pilot and graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

 

Bennett Borsuk

Director

As a Director of Cabrio Properties and a Principal of The Cabrio Group, Mr. Borsuk is responsible for creating growth and operational strategies for Cabrio Properties. Mr. Borsuk has over 15 years experience running a diversified group of companies that includes real estate, office equipment, IT consulting, marketing management, and promotional products. Since 1999, Mr. Borsuk has operated several residential real estate investments on the University of Michigan campus through Benquin Properties. As a savvy and aggressive investor, he has been able to establish Benquin Properties in the highly competitive sub-market of University of Michigan campus housing. His portfolio of property has established annual returns of over 25%.

In 2007 Mr. Borsuk co-founded The Cabrio Group of companies and the Cabrio brand. The Cabrio Group is a diversified group of companies engaged in real estate and investment. Through The Cabrio Group, its affiliates and subsidiaries, the company provides property services, development and equity investment through private synidication.

Mr. Borsuk brings broad experience in business investing and management to The Cabrio Group of companies. He is active in the Ann Arbor community and the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Borsuk resides in Ann Arbor and is a graduate of the University of Michigan.  

 

Steve Daugherty

Maintenance Supervisor

With over 20 years of maintenance and management experience, Mr. Daugherty provides the clients of Cabrio Properties exceptional technical expertise. Mr. Daugherty ensures the value of our portfolio is maintained through prompt and thorough service to our clients and their commercial spaces.

Mr. Daugherty is also a licensed builder in the State of Michigan. He provides construction services and consultation to both new and existing clients. Mr. Daugherty provides value by streamlining the maintenance and construction aspects of property management. He is also is responsible for consulting on new tenant improvements and the process of estimating construction projects.

Mr. Daugherty lives in Ann Arbor with his wife, Crystal, his daughters Cassidy and Shelby and his son, Steve. He has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys hunting and fishing throughout the State of Michigan.
